     Thank you again for your ability to expose and publish the truth.  The Geauga county salaries were enlightening to learn and help explain the arrogance found at the county level.  Any idea what the county auditor makes a year?   Several people (including us) have found him to be quite arrogant to say the least!   Don't forget the combined salaries at this time for the current Middlefield police chief and the ex-chief is $101,000.   Thanks again for your efforts.

Ron & Laura:  It's also ABSURD what is going on in Middlefield with one police chief being paid and highly commended by the village council while ANOTHER POLICE CHIEF is sitting at home collecting ANOTHER big paycheck...  Unbelievable...  What is going on in the heads of these elected officials?  LIke I've said before:  When they take office, they abandon all reasonable behaviors and spend, spend, spend, then tax, tax, tax like a bunch of dopey moon-calf liberals...  And they do not listen to the taxpayers/voters once they get in - they push a stupid agenda that is SURE to get us into fiscal problems.  Why would they do this?  WHY would any elected official spend over the budget?  It escapes me why they would do this.  It's unethical, irresponsible and WRONG.  Period.  The dopes don't do this in THEIR business dealings (well, some do and then they go under...), nor do they do it with their personal finances.  Truth be known, MANY of these idiots in elected positions are TIGHTER THAN TWO COATS OF PAINT WITH THEIR OWN FINANCES AND SPEND LIKE A NANCY PELOSI LIBERAL WITH OUR MONEY! 

     Frank Gliha is the Geauga County Auditor and his salary is set by the ORC at about $77,000 as near as I can tell - he'll get a pay raise if the new Census is higher because his annual salary is based on county population and other factors.   Howerver, David Lair, the Geauga County Administrator makes $99,283.11 in that role (and that's not including at least a $10,000++ benefit/retirement/ perk package!) and then he goes over to Newbury Township as their "Fiscal Officer" and gets another payday!   He's got to be the highest paid accountant in America!   Oh well...  I can't wait to see how these salaries and benefits will be sustained...  They have hit a brick wall in terms of taxing us to death...  I don't know about you, but I'm FINISHED supporting any more of their schemes.  I'm going to devalue my home and get it reassessed and just sit back and watch their twist in the rope...  AND I AM NOT FOR ANY ESCALATION IN THE COUNTY SALES TAX!  IT IS ALREADY A GODDAMN 6.5% AND IS CHOKING THE BUYING CUSTOMER AND DISCOURAGING RETAIL SALES IN THE COUNTY...
